How Reservations Work at Joe’s

Joe’s Pizza Italian Cuisine & Bar operates primarily as a walk-in restaurant. Our dining room is open to all guests throughout business hours, and most tables are available without advance notice. If you’re planning to come with a larger group or celebrating a special occasion, contacting us in advance means we can prepare the right seating configuration before you arrive.

For standard tables of 1–5 guests, no reservation is required — simply walk in during our hours and we’ll seat you as quickly as we can. For groups of 6 or more, we ask that you call at least one day in advance so we can make sure we have the right arrangement ready. For private events, birthday celebrations, or gatherings of 15 or more, please contact us at least 7–10 days ahead so we can coordinate seating and service for your occasion.

We do not use an online reservation system — calling or emailing directly is the most reliable way to secure seating for your group. Our team will confirm your reservation details and let you know if there are any special considerations for your date or party size.

What to Have Ready When You Call

Your Group Size

Let us know exactly how many guests you’re expecting. This determines the seating configuration we’ll set up and whether the reservation requires advance notice at all.

Preferred Date & Time

Give us your first-choice date and time, and a backup option if possible. Friday and Saturday evenings tend to fill up faster — calling earlier in the week for weekend reservations is always a good idea.

Special Occasion

If you’re celebrating a birthday, anniversary, graduation, or another milestone, mention it when you call. We’ll do what we can to make your visit stand out.

Dietary Needs

Let us know about any dietary restrictions or allergies in your group. We can confirm in advance what our kitchen can accommodate so there are no surprises at the table.

Walk-In Timing — When to Expect Shorter Waits

If you’re coming as a walk-in without a reservation, timing matters. Our busiest periods are typically the lunch rush (11:30 AM–1:00 PM) and weekend dinner service (6:00–8:30 PM on Friday and Saturday). If you want to minimize your wait and prefer not to call ahead, consider:

  • Mid-afternoon (2:00–4:30 PM): The slowest window of the day across all days of the week. Seating is almost always immediate.
  • Early dinner (before 6:00 PM on weeknights): Dining room is typically open and relaxed before the evening rush builds.
  • Late lunch after 1:30 PM: The lunch crowd has thinned by this point, and there’s usually ample seating available.
  • Sunday afternoons: One of the most relaxed dining windows of the week for families and larger groups who prefer a quieter setting.

For Friday and Saturday evening visits with a group of 4 or more, we do recommend calling ahead even if your group is under 6 — it ensures we can hold a table that fits your party without a long wait.

Reservations — Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take reservations at Joe’s Pizza Italian Cuisine & Bar?

Yes, for groups of 6 or more we encourage you to call ahead so we can prepare proper seating. Parties of 1–5 guests are welcome as walk-ins during any business hour — no reservation needed.

How far in advance should I call to make a reservation?

For groups of 6 or more, calling one to two days in advance is generally enough on weeknights. For Friday or Saturday evening reservations, we recommend calling earlier in the week. For private events, graduation dinners, or other large-group occasions, contact us at least 7–10 days ahead.

Can I make a same-day reservation?

For groups of 1–5, same-day seating is usually available as a walk-in with no call needed. For larger same-day groups, call us directly at (817) 945-1765 and we’ll let you know what’s available. Friday and Saturday evenings book faster, so advance calls are strongly recommended for those nights.

Do you have a private dining room?

We don’t have a fully enclosed private room, but we can arrange dedicated table configurations for larger groups and celebrations. For birthday parties, graduation dinners, and private group events, see our parties and events page for full details on what we offer, or call us to discuss your event.

What information should I have ready when I call?

Have your group size, preferred date and time, and a backup time option ready when you call. If your group includes guests with dietary restrictions, or if you’re celebrating a special occasion, mention that too so we can confirm in advance what we can accommodate.

What are your busiest hours — when should I arrive to avoid a long wait?

The busiest periods are lunch (11:30 AM–1:00 PM) and weekend evenings (6:00–8:30 PM on Friday and Saturday). For shorter walk-in waits, mid-afternoon (2:00–4:30 PM), early weeknight dinner (before 6:00 PM), or Sunday afternoon all tend to offer the most immediate availability.
